Welcome Back, Birkenstocks!
If you read our last post, you know that there is a retro shoe revival happening. Trends from previous eras are making a bold statement on the runway these days. A 90’s favorite that has resurfaced is the classic Birkenstock. Historically, there have been two kinds of people; the ones who love Birkenstocks, and the ones who, well, don’t. For those who haven’t fallen in love with the classic design of the shoe, you’re in luck. Birkenstocks now come in a variety of colors and styles that compliment fashionable looks. And for the die-hard Birk fan, the original design is better than ever with more color options than before. You are sure to find a style that compliments you and your look perfectly. The comfort of this show cannot be denied. They are made with an anatomically correct cork footbed that is lined with suede that will mold to the shape of your foot. Yes, people. These shoes mold to fit your foot perfectly. Perhaps Birkenstocks are the new Cinderella slipper?! Comfort is important, but we all want to wear a shoe that looks great. We have several styles that are sure to make you jump aboard the Birkenstock bandwagon. Not Your Mom’s Birkenstocks One of the styles you’re to be seeing a lot of this summer is the Thong Sandal. This classic thong silhouette is an easy look to fall in love with for new Birkenstock owners. This sandal style features slightly thinner straps. This Birkenstock look is more modern but it still consists of the same signature cork and suede and adjustable buckles to ensure a perfect fit. This style is a bit more feminine than the classic look. The perfect sandals to just slide your feet into and go. Even this classic style has been revitalized with lots of new colors to help bring a little personality to once fairly simple shoe design. You can opt for the classic tan look or go for a funkier, stand out look with the silver or copper designs. Try pairing these sandals with a pair of denim cutoffs and a graphic tea. Or, make sure you pack them for your summer vacation. Birkenstocks are perfect for walking along the beach!
