It’s the time of year. You’re packing for a weekend getaway. You’re sitting on your suitcase trying to stuff that one last perfect outfit in. *please don’t let the zipper rip*. Right now, Pinterest and Instagram are full of ideas on how to simplify your wardrobe. One closet trend that is gaining steam is the “capsule wardrobe” The idea is that you have fewer, but staple, quality pieces in your closet that can be worn multiple ways. It’s taking the “quality over quantity” philosophy to a whole new level. Some of us aren’t ready to purge all of our clothes and accessories, but who is going to complain about finding that one dress that just goes with EVERYTHING? Not me, that’s for sure.
Here we will take a look at one dress, SeaGypsies in Ebony ($59), that can be worn five different ways. That’s right. Just by changing up the accessories, five completely different looks can be obtained. Now that is the way to think when you’re trying to justify spending money on a new dress, it’s actually like buying 5 for the price of one!
Bring on the Fringe
This look is so simple, yet so chic. It’s the perfect outfit for the days that you have to go straight from the office to lunch meetings or drinks after work. By just adding a statement necklace and wedge sandals you make this seemingly simple LBD have a lot more character and class. Grabbing a purse with fringe totally completes this look.
Looking good in Denim
This next look changes the dress quite a bit. Adding a jean jacket to this outfit definitely makes the look more casual. But wait! Casual isn’t quite what you’re going for? Add some colorful lace up stilettos to add a focal point to this look.

Sneakers & Street Style
This next look is the perfect outfit for that outdoor concert you have tickets to. Sneakers are so comfortable and are definitely trending right now. Adding a loose fitting top and sneakers gives this dress a casual, but edgy look.

This is another outfit combo that is great for office life. Paring the dress with a kimono and long necklaces, you achieve a look that is flowy and comfortable. Try adding some peep-toe wedges to complete this stylish look.

Don’t be afraid to add color! For a bold, fun take on this dress, try adding a brightly colored kimono and a textured, bright statement necklace. This ensemble is comfortable and artsy-chic. Throw on a pair of strappy sandals and oversized sunglasses and you have the perfect outfit for Sunday brunch.
